I would like to take a break from my previous postings of Guerilla Investing Principles and just talk about life in general. I have not always been a person of serious upbringing and breeding and there are times that an excess of seriousness leads me into a convulsion of stiffness and tightness. In short, I am a person who lives and thrives on humor, at times succeeding, and usually failing to elicit the slightest smile from my audience. Even a forced laugh would be most welcome on occasions.
I have a gazillion concepts that I want to put forth, and wish that one day I would publish a book talking about Personal Finance in a different light. It is every writer's dream to have a book published. I am one of those dreamers.
For a topic as serious as Personal Finance, I sometimes shudder that it is taken too seriously. Even by me. Yet, one cannot be too funny about it as to lose a person's respect of your credibility. I have to strike a balance between seriousness and humor.
I have big dreams for Guerilla Investing. My previous background was never related to what I am doing now. Fate has its way of nudging you towards different paths in your life. You just have to be conscious enough when Fate says, "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR LIFE?".
A few months ago I was merely a mindless stock trader with no mission in life. As I learned and spoke with people I slowly came to the conclusion that there was a growing awareness from us plainsfolk on investments in general. However, there are only so many resources that one can tap to fill his brain.
I intend to fill that awareness gap with this blog. Yes, suddenly it sounds more like a vision statement than anything. I am still developing my plans for Guerilla Investing. All I know is that I already have the end in mind. My problem is what I must do between the now and the end.
Any initiative we do, is a parallel of what life is and is not. Life isn't just a series of episodes with us as mere actors. We are directors, constant directors at that, going through our lives seeking for an ending to cap what we may call as a wonderful life - OUR OWN.
