I AM BACK ... NO THANKS TO PLDT

The reason why I did not update my blog is because of PLDT's service disruption. For five days, I called the PLDT Hotline. Only to be given useless explanations and "help".

Their great escape were these four words "Sorry for the inconvenience". These were repeated until my ears bled talking to dozens of CSRs who were helpless in doing anything for the customers they're supposed to be serving. What constituted as help for them was, "We'll follow this up with our technical department." (Sure! Since they called this a nationwide problem, I'm sure I'm the 79 millionth customer on their list for follow up)

I'll be updating my blog (with a vengeance) soon folks. I'll resume my posting operation when I am confident my internet connection is stable.

Folks, when you use utilities like electricity, water and telecommunications, you must remember that this is also an investment (although accounting wise, these are called expenses). You must make sure you get the service you are paying for! In investment terms, it's called return on investment (ROI).

If the companies you pay money for service are not reciprocating you with good service, then that's certainly bad investment. "Sorry for the inconvenience" is one heckuva lousy excuse for me. There was an article on the Philippine Star yesterday about Panjee Tapales thoughts on bad service. Your guess is as good as mine as to who this internet provider could be, given that someone in their company told me (and probably you) they had a "nationwide problem".

Instead of blitzing TV, Cinemas and Print with their mindless ads, PLDT should divert their funds to upgrading their infrastructure. This is the second (long) service disruption in 4 months. Internet is a very, very important tool I use EVERYDAY. So it was really hell for me since Wednesday afternoon.

We'll resume normal blog posting operations by tomorrow or Wednesday. Thank you all!

it would be an additional queue on those subscribers that are complaining due to bad service from PLDT......well, due to technology, we can easily let our voices heard through this medium, email, forums, etc. hope your problem be sorted out soon.

Investor Discretion Advised.

Investments involve risks. Investor discretion is advised. Further, great lengths have been made to ensure information accuracy. However, I'm only human so if you see any mistakes, do point them out. Thanks and please come back! Remember, appreciate the capital but appreciate the risk!
